Make a Beautiful Quilt Using The Equilateral Triangle Template Kit
The quilt pictured above is another beautiful antique quilt called Mosaic (16, 170 pieces). three photos of the quilt are courtesy of the Eco American Quilt Museum.
This fabulous quilt was made in the State of Kentucky in the 1940's. It is an exceptional Pyramid quilt that is made up of equilateral triangles repeated over and over to form a pyramid. The array of colors is fantastic, making this just a wonderful quilt.
Check out the quilting and the intricate details on the two close up photos. Such a fabulous work of art.
The computer graphic apictured above represents some of the equilateral triangle blocks that can be made using the Equilateral Triangle Template Kit from the Basic Sets Category of our store. Just one of an exciting collection of quilt pattern templates that are available!
The very top equilateral triangle design is the exact one that is used in the Mosaic quilt above. The Equilateral Triangle Template Kit consists of 7 individual templates and comes with instructions to make the 6 seperate triangle designs shown. The template sets are available in finished sizes of 4, 5, and 6 inches. The variations are actually unlimited.
To make the triangles for your quilt, gather the chosen fabrics, and using the acrylic templates and a rotary cutter, cut out all the triangles required, (all exactly the same size and shape, and with built in 1/4 inch seams). This is a fun and fast way to cut your fabric. (Remember you can cut several layers of fabric at the same time). Once the fabric triangles are all cut, you can begin to sew.
Why not try acrylic quilting templates with your next quilting project? Maybe this Mosaic Equilateral Triangle Pyramid quilt would be something you would like to create!
