Bev Is Still Sewing Together Quilt Tops
Bev was in her sewing room this morning bright and early before she headed to work. I took the two pictures above of her sewing together fabric strips for a new quilt she started the other day.
She saw a quilt somewhere she said, and really liked it, but the people she talked to about it had no idea if there was a pattern available from which to make it. So she went home and drew it out from memory and is making her own variation of what she saw. I'm sure it will be a beautiful quilt when completed.
The quilt top above is one that Bev finished sewing together last week some time. It is the On The Go Baby Boy Quilt pattern by Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting. It was a Moda Bakeshop Original Recipe quilt pattern.
It's a beautiful quilt top, and I really like the arrows, how they move around in all directions, just like a baby when he first starts to shuffle or crawl around. It's a good name for the quilt pattern. I love the colors Bev has chosen too, they are nice and bright!
The On The Go banner like strip will be placed in the middle of one side of the quilt back fabric. It is part of the pattern, and will look real sharp on the back of the quilt. Bev hasn't chosen the fabric for the quilt back yet, she is still looking for that perfect fabric.
