Quilting Templates
For at least three generations of my wifes' family, quilting has been a cherished pasttime and a fullfilling hobby. Between them they have produced hundreds of beautiful quilts. They have used many different materials to make the templates necessary to create the wonderful curves, circles, flowers, and other designs that have decorated their quilts. Tempates traced on to paper and then cut out with scissors. They didn't always last too long. Cardboard has been used, but it only lasts a little longer. Even posterboard and vinyl plastic templates do not hold up under constant use with a rotary cutter. Also to be able to make these special templates took hours of practise and luckily for my wife, she had experienced teachers, but many quilters do not have that expertise available to them.
Fortunately for todays first time quilters, and also for seasoned quilters looking for new and innovative quilt patterns, the ACRYLIC TEMPLATE is available.
The Drunkards Path Template Set
These templates can be used unlimited times, and because of their ease of use and their versatility they can be used to create many different patterns and shapes, and they eliminate the often tedious and sometimes impossible work involved in drawing the shapes that the great quilt patterns have.
The templates we carry are all made from 1/8th inch thick sturdy acrylic, and come in a choice of four colors, (clear, flourescent orange, flourescent green and blue).
No more tediously tracing and cutting out each individual shape. With acrylic templates you can use your rotary cutter and cut out multiple layers of cloth at the same time.
Many of the templates we carry also include a 1/4 inch seam allowance already built in.
